Friday, July 8th, the National Agriculture Statistic Service (NASS) published the 2022 California Almond Objective Measurement Report. The Objective Estimate for the 2022 California almond crop is 2.6 billion meat pounds. When compared to the May subjective forecast of 2.8 billion meat pounds there is a 200 million pound difference. All the estimates are based on the 1.37 million bearing acres.
Over the coming weeks, the industry will continue to evaluate the estimates for the upcoming crop. We will provide a market report after next week’s June position report issued by the Almond Board of California.
